Review: Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Lip Color in Red My Mind

I feel like a bad blogger since I haven't write anything new for a quiet long time here :( once again I'm sorry. Working takes most of my time, my strength. So.... I got no time for even writing a new post here.

But anyway, I'm back! With another drugstore temptation. And Happy Easter for those who celebrate.

As you guys know, gue sukaaaaaa banget sama yang namanya bold lips. Gak tau kenapa tapi menurut gue bold lips itu ngeboost confidence aja. Mungkin bagi sebagian orang blod lips itu sedikit mengintimidasi ya, tapi gue rasa, hey... kalo gak pake bold lips sekarang kapan lagi. Why not trying other colors instead of pinks and nudes? Any bright even dark colors might look good too, on you!

 

Kan mumpung holiday juga nih, jadi sah-sah aja juga pake bold lips. Nah, kali ini gue mau review salah satu brand drugstore favorit, Wet and Wild Liquid lip color in Red My Mind. OMG gue sebelumnya pernah liat reviewan blogger lain soal lip product ini and I fell in love with it! So I searched every single drugstore I could find, and here I go reviewing this product!

Packaging:

Untuk packaging, lip product ini gak jauh beda sama bentuk lip product pada umumnya. Tapi dari segi warna menarik banget! Jadi warna tubenya itu nunjukkin warna yang ada di dalamnya. Pokoknya ngeliat warnanya yang oke banget bikin pengen ambil semua warna deh!

Plus tubenya gak berat. Karena terbuat dari plastik. Ramping jadi gak makan banyak tempat. Untuk kuas bisa diliat sendiri, bulunya halus dan panjangnya proporsional. Jadi gak butuh brush lagi, cukup pake aplikatornya langsung, gak bakalan bleber tuh kemana-mana. hihi

Texture and Consistency:

Banyak banget pro dan kontra untuk teksture dari liquid lip color ini. Ada yang suka banget, ada yang gak suka banget. It happens to me for both feelings. Love and hate gitu deh sebenernya. As what it claims in the picture below, memang produk ini last all day long. Literally. Smudge proof, Waterproof, no bleeding or feathering or so. Beneran. I approved. Pas diulasin ke bibir juga liquidnya super smooth, it glides on easy on my lips. Teksturnya cair dan gak ada bau-bau aneh deh pokoknya.

Taaaaaapi sayangnya untuk claim ultra-conditioning menurut gue itu gak kebukti. Karena lip liquid ini bikin bibir super kering :( pokoknya setelah beberapa jam, it will crack like crazy on my lips. Kayak pecah-pecah gitu deh warnanya pas udah kering. Duh gak flattering banget lah pokoknya guys!

Bahkan first impression gue pas pake ke bibir, it's kinda scary. karena kayak gak bisa ilang gitu loh. Takut aja it will stay forever on my lips! NOOOOO! jangan sampe! hiiiiy.

Tapi itu tadi, warnanya super intense dan bold. Jadi love and hate gitu sama product ini. it's weird.

Color and Swatches:

Kalau untuk warna, gue akui WnW ini juara banget! Semua warna product WnW udah kebukti super intense. Jadi gak usah ditanya lagi kalo untuk produk yang ini. Super duper intense sekali oles!

Kalo untuk pilihan warna juga sangat amat beragam. Kalo di Website resmi WnW sendiri, ada banyak pilihan warna as below, tapi sayang yang masuk ke Indo paling cuma setengahnya:

So I took beberapa swatches dari Red My Mind ini di tangan. Inget, semua swatches ini cuma sekali oles loh! Gak lebih. Karena udah intense bgt. Apalagi kalo dioles berulang kali.

As you can see above, warna Red My Mind ini super duper intense. Warna merahnya mengandung orange undertone. Cocok buat orang dengan tone warm kayak gue. It will look super flattery. Intinya sih warna merah dengan tone ini aman buat tone mana aja. Orang dengan blue tone juga makenya oke banget.

Yap, jadi kalo pertama kali diolesin ke bibir, teksturnya bener-bener cair dan keliatannya kayak mengkilap. Bisa diliat di foto atas bagian yang kiri, freshly applied. Tapiiiiii begitu udah kering, bener-bener matte hasilnya! No shine at all! Kering banget, and for the first time, it will feel super weird on your lips. Just like it sucks in your lips like crazy. urrrghhhhh weiiiiirddddd...

Pas gue olesin di tangan, gue yakin banget ini lip product bakalan sulit banget dibersihinnya. Bener aja, padahal gue udah pake eye & lip remover loh. Dan yang ada oilnya removernya biar lebih gampang. Tapiiii tetep aja. Liat deh foto di bawah. Itu udah gue usap pelan-pelan loh beberapa kali tapi tetep aja ngilanginnya susah dan mesti agak keras bersihinnya :( kebayang gak gimana bersihin yang di bibir? :( harus super pelan2 biar bibir kita gak luka. kalo gak nanti  bibir kita yang iritasi loh. Nyebelin bgt pokoknya :(

Anywaaaaay, lipstick ini juga bikin gue tergugah untuk bikin look dari MV Barunya SNSD yang MR MR since all the members look super gorgeous with vintage look and red lips. Sooooo I created one, inspired by Seohyun, my bias, as below. Please don't judge, I only do it for fun. hehe

Here is the eye makeup step by step:

1. Prime your eyes, draw your eyebrows as straight as possible, make it slightly bold.

2. Apply a dark choco e/s on the lid only.

3. Blend the darck choco with a light brown e/s to blend it to the crease.

4. Make a cat eye with black eyeliner like so, it doesn;t have to be neat since we will smudge it later.

5. Smudge the liner with black e/s on the upper and lower lids.

6. Add a shimmery bronzey e/s and apply it on the centre of the lid to add dimension

7. Curl your lashes, add mascara

8. Add falsies, and don't forget to add a beauty mark with eyeliner like Seohyun! hehe
